This course is essential for those involved with explosives and fireworks. It will inform and update those persons responsible for the licensing of explosives stores, those operating such premises, and those enforcing the legislation relating to this specialist field.

The course examines the various legislation brought in to control the storage and sale of fireworks and explosives such as The Fireworks Act 2003, The Fireworks Regulations 2004, The Explosives Regulations 2014 and The Pyrotechnic Articles (Safety) Regulations 2015. The effect of The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 is also considered. The differences between types of explosives and fireworks will be used to illustrate points and gain familiarity with the subject.
